Child Check-In (staff)

Run the check-in station, manage children, classes, rooms, teachers and lessons, and print tags.

Where Child Check-In is and what each page does

Child Check-In keeps children safe on Sunday: families check in, every child gets a name tag, and only the person holding the matching parent tag can collect them. Everything lives under one menu item, with ten pages in this order:

Listing
Today's dashboard: counts, quick actions and every child's status.
Check-In/CheckOut
The station you run at the door to check children in and out and print tags.
Children
Every child's record — class, room, security code, allergies and guardian.
Classes
Each class with its room, age group, teacher and capacity.
Lessons
What each class is learning, with attachments you can send to parents.
Teachers
The people who teach or help in each class.
Room
The rooms children meet in.
Age
The age groups you use to sort children into classes.
Audit Logs
A record of every check-in, pre-check-in and check-out.
Printer Settings
Your label printer sizes so tags print correctly.

Tip: Setting up for the first time? Do it in this order: Room → Age → Teachers → Classes. A class needs a room, an age group and a teacher, so those come first.

Use this page to see at a glance how many children are in, who is still pending and who has gone home.

Check-In/CheckOut: checking a child in

This is the screen volunteers use at the door on Sunday. It checks children into today's service and prints their tags.

How to get there:Child Check-InCheck-In/CheckOut
  1. 1Check the service shown at the top is the right one. If there are two services today, select Switch Service and pick the other one.
  2. 2Choose how to find the family (see the four options below).
  3. 3Tick the children who are here today — leave out any who didn't come.
  4. 4Choose who may collect them. The parent is the authorised contact by default; you can pick another guardian, for example the other parent.
  5. 5Select Confirm Check-In, choose your printer and orientation, and print.
  6. 6Hand the parent tag (with the family code) to the parent and stick a name tag on each child.
Mobile QR Scan
For families who pre-checked in from home: scan the QR code on the parent's phone and their details load automatically.
Kiosk / Code
Type the parent's name, the child's name or the child's security code.
New Registration
For a family visiting for the first time — see the next section.
Existing Member
Type the parent's name to list their children, then tick who is attending.

Important: A child with an allergy shows only an icon on their tag, not the allergy itself. Teachers open the child's record to see the details.
